Deadly experiments: a project of disassembling the monitor that fell in my room and harnessing its ~30,000 volts for the pursuit of science. Experiments included:
Cremation of a marshmellow
Marshmellows are excellent for turning electricity into flame on any other object
Frying of a small circuit whose purpose was unknown
A small IC on the chip was nearly cut in half with pure electricity
Vaporized the reflective substance in a circular pattern on the outside of a CD
Sheared a diskette's magnetic portion into clean pieces with the flow of electrons
Boiled a Nips brand hard candy
Doesn't smell as good as one would suppose.
Fire-tunneled through a frozen burrito
Twas quite conductive!
Vaporized the monitor's own phosphorous
Even more neat looking circles!
Created a small tri-color fire in my old disc spool that reduced it to a quivering mass that somehow still stores CDs
Fire was blue (alcohol), green (copper wire), and red/orange (oxygen)
Constructed a weak rocket-like projectile
Lots of work, and it only fired once...
